Jordan Wright Patterson’s practice is rooted in material exploration and memory, using unconventional techniques to build layered, evocative compositions. She dyes paper with tea , coffee and paints, creating warm, organic tones that infuse her work with a sense of history and impermanence. Hand-cutting the paper, she forms delicate, precise lines that introduce both structure and fragility, echoing the themes of time, place, and personal narrative.
Through this tactile process, Patterson blurs the boundary between painting and collage, constructing visual spaces that feel intimate, meditative, and deeply personal.
